Below is an i3D model of the Lewis & Clark cabin from Neville Log Homes, which was modeled, programmed and textured using only 24KB of text data! A Flash or DV fly-through of this same cabin would be 24MB (1000X more data) and would not be able to be walked through interactively (such as the game Doom allows).
Cabin navigation is much like first-person game navigation, where the mouse is used to move through the i3D scene. The user can go inside the cabin, look around, walk around the property, and even change decoration parameters such as the type of cobblestone, or floor coverings such as wood, carpet or tile. Using another 8 kilobytes of data (32KB total for the 3D scene) we could add ground cover, landscaping, a creek, even some fun game logic, to make the 3D exploration of this 3D log cabin model into a 3D scavenger hunt advergame, for instance.
